God comforts those in need

This week has been hard. The longing and the physical ache in my heart to be with my daughter was at an all time high. The waiting has been harder and i felt a dark cloud come over me this week, as we have been waiting for that email that says her birth certificate is complete and we can move forward. The sound of the email chime on my phone goes off. However, again and again no email. As i sat in my car this morning in the kroger parking lot, with a big sigh, I cried out to the Lord " God help me lift my head to you and give me the strength that you can only give. I am running on low and almost on empty. Lord, I need more of you. That is all I had in me to pray.

Adoption is such an up and down roller coaster of emotions. A roller coaster that we have been on for 2 years. You go through stages full of so many unknowns and emotions... excitement, fear, disappointment, impatience, expectation, relief, joy, i could go on and on. You get the picture. I guess it finally just started to take its toll on me. You think it would get easier as you know that you are in the homestretch. However, you are so close you can taste it, but it is still out of reach.

The Lord has been with us and carried us all this way. He carried us today and gave us the news that her birth certificate is finally complete and after Easter they will begin preparing her documents to submit to emabassy. Then, it will be time to receive a date to travel. Thank you God that you listen to the cries of your children and you listened to me.

With joy and laughter, we also saw updated pictures of her that she now is the proud owner of 2 teeth!!!! All she did was drool on us while we visited her and new it was bound to happen soon. Oh so precious!
