She's Ours!!!!

This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!!!! Oh so thankful as we heard the news that Ally is officially and legally ours. What a sigh of relief and so very grateful! The last 24 hours have been simply amazing. Our best friends were here visiting last this weekend and we were sitting around talking after the kids went to bed. We began talking about different ways God had been showing himself to us and just sharing God stories. Ann said that she really was thinking on the way here that she wanted us to go to Ally's nursery and pray together for her. We said " let's do it!" We all four sat on the floor in Ally's room and began praying and petitioning our requests to God on Ally's behalf. Many tears were shed and it was just a wonderful time to come together with our friends and pray together. The neat thing was that we were praying at 11:30 at night which was Ethiopian morning. Their work day had begun as we were praying! Then, this morning the phone rang as we were in the kitchen saying " unknown", which i usually just let ring, but i picked it up and I heard " malisa" i knew my case worker's voice. I said " good news?" and she said im sending you pictures right now of your daughter! Of course we jumped up and down and probably created hearing loss in her ear!! Anyway, Lance was at physical therapy and saw he had missed 10 calls. He said he thought someone had died but then heard me scream " she's ours!" Oh we have unspeakable joy, but we still have some waiting and still some other friends that are praying and waiting for good news too. We will continue to lay them before God and pray that God would move mountains to bring them all home soon!! Thank you God for how real and faithful you are. As hard as this has been, we would not trade this rich time with you and how you have walked with us this whole time. You are Good! May you be glorified in this adoption story throughout Ally's life!

  1. Rejoice! Our God is so good!! We are so blessed, and in His own way, and His own time he shows us just how blessed we are, over and over again. When we are impatient, He shows us patience. And now the time has come for Sweet Baby Ally to come home! Thank you to our Lord for answering our prayers! Keep on the shoulders of the Funderburk 5 till the new addition is here!

Love you guys!!! All 6 of you!
