We just received an email calling us to prayer from our agency. Because I am not all that into politics, i was unaware that by march 4th, democrats and republicans must come to an agreement on the financial budget. If they can not agree, there will be a government shutdown. How does this affect us bringing Ally home? Well as a result of a government shutdown, non ESSENTIAL personnel will be furloughed including those that work in the Embassy and consulate around the world.
This would obviously affect all families in the adoption process because we need those people to complete our adoptions. Government shut downs have happened 15 years ago for 3 weeks and even 10 years ago for 3 days. We have no way of knowing how long this one would take place for but we need to pray for peace and resolution! Satan keeps throwing his arrows but our hope needs to be in our Lord who holds the victory. We pray to you Lord that you would move mountains in the hearts and minds of all involved in this matter. May you bring peace and resolution. However, may your will be done for your glory. This is your story and not ours. Amen
