I have been waiting to update my blog. I finally have a reason to now! We are getting closer and closer. Our documents have been in Ethiopia since last October. Our agency has a clock that keeps us updated on the documents that are being worked on. The Clock has just been updated, and they are now working on September documents. That means October documents are next ( which means us)!!! It still seems so unreal that a call will come soon and we will have a picture of our beautiful daughter. What will it be like to see her face for the very first time? Even though we do not know her face, God has had her hand picked for us before time. It is now possible that she has been born. Has her mother died in childbirth, has she been abandoned, are her mother and father grieving and struggling through the reality that they can not take care of her because they are too sick or too poor? We do not know, but can only pray for her protection and the circumstances surrounding her. As we anticipate seeing her and the joy it will bring, there will be heartache and sorrow that someone else will be suffering on the other side. Despite that reality, God has been preparing the timing and the way for this little baby to become part of our family and it is almost time.
We have cleared the nursery and have ordered the new furniture for her room. And you ask, dont you already have furniture from the other kids? Ha! Anyone that knows me, knows that i love to find great deals. My 3 children have slept on a wonderful crib that I found at a garage sale for 150 dollars. It was perfect, but it had seen better days. So i decided to donate it and buy something new. Wow, it is amazing how things have changed. Where there used to be an aisle of things to choose from, there are now 10. Too much to choose from! Anyway, we are so excited and will keep you posted. About to paint the nursery and I will show you when it is done! much love
